Where can I purchase zabiha on St. Maarten?

Sheik halal meat has a counter that sells fresh lamb, beef, goat, and chicken.

The farms are on nearby St. Eustatius and fresh shipments arrive every Tuesday.

The cost of beef is $11.10 per kilo, which translates to $5.04 per pound.

Where else can I purchase zabiha on St. Maarten?

Go to Le Grand Marche, a supermarket located very close to the masjid.

Chicken

Frozen chickens from Brazil.

Boneless, skinless, chicken breasts from Brazil, with markings in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese, and Arabic, maintaining the product is “halal” and “slaughtered by hand according to the Islamic rites.” Also available are 2.5 kilo blocks of boneless thighs and boneless legs.

Pay no attention to the price in yellow. That is the price in guilders, the de jure currency of the Netherlands Antilles. The de facto currency on St. Maarten is the US dollar, which is accepted by all establishments on the Dutch side and most establishments on the French side.

Show your AUC student card to the cashier at the checkout counter.

Food Express in Maho is the closest grocery store to the AUC campus.

Maho is one mile from AUC.

Cost U Less is close to Le Grande Marche and the masjid. They sell items in bulk.

Ace Home Center is close to Cost U Less and Le Grande Marche.
